Medical Trade Between China and Latin America Increased to 8.98% In the Third Quarter of 2013

         According to IMSHealth's forecasts,by 2014 the size of Latin American drug market increases to $51.3 billion,Latin American drug market overall will appear similar to the Asian market growth.
         In the third quarter of 2013 years ago,China and Latin American medicine trade reached 3.5 billion US dollars,increasing 8.98% from a year earlier,accounting for 5.35% of the total amount of medicine in China's international trade.Among them,exports is $2.7 billion,increasing 5.7%;Imports reached $838 million,increasing 21.06% from a year earlier.Pharmaceutical trade volume between China and Latin America in 2012 is $4.3 billion,increasing 2.17%;Among them,exports is $3.39 billion,increasing 3.7%;Imports of $915 million,decreasing 3.15% year-on-year.
         2012 Latin American region economy has not been falling sharply,growing economy makes Latin American nations beginning to enter the high-income countries.Latin America in 33 countries,only Haiti belongs to low-income countries,and six are high-income countries,the remaining 26 middle-income countries are moving in high-income countries.Brazil and Mexico are the main countries,China's exports to Latin American medicine accounted for 32% and 32% respectively.
         Western medicine class exports account for more than 60%,Latin America's main categories are export;Followed by the class of medical equipment,accounting for more than 30%.China's exports to Latin America's western medicine mainly vitamins,anti-infection drugs and biochemical medicine raw materials,2012 and the first three quarters of this year exports are basically stable.China's main medical equipment product exports to Latin America are hospital diagnosis and treatment,health care products and rehabilitation supplies and one-time consumables,etc.Among them,2012,our country to Latin America health rehabilitation supplies exports are $337 million,increasing 72.8% from a year earlier,exports from $160 million in the third quarter but 2013 years ago,falling 38.79% year on year.
         Notable is,there is decline in exports for Latin American-Chinese traditional medicine.In 2012,in addition to the traditional basic stable,medicinal herbs and medicinal slices,extract and health care products exports fell by more than 50%.Herbs mainly are in terms of Chinese wolfberry,rhubarb,seed yellow exports decline is larger,extract is eucalyptus oil and inositol exports fell by more,health care products in raw is fish oil exports decline significantly.From the perspective of the data of 2013 years ago in the third quarter,the downward trend of last year has been contained,from January to September this year China's exports to Latin America Chinese herbal medicine are $75.8456 million,increasing 2.16% from a year earlier,the Chinese medicines,health products have larger growth.
