The international ecological textile standard will come into effect on April this year

         Recently,the international Oeko tex Association OEKO-TEX released the 2014 version of OEKO-TEX Standard 100 eco textile testing standard and limited value.The same as in previous years,new criteria and limit values at the beginning of the year announced there will still be a transitional period of 3 months,will come into effect from April 1,2014.The standard regulation of perfluorooctanoic acid PFOA will be more stringent,at the same time,the directory 4 long chain perfluorinated compounds will be added to the new standard,the limited value of the same and perfluorooctanoic acid.New standards,shows that the international Oeko tex Association fully supports the European initiative "zero emissions of harmful chemical substances ZDHC" action,actively support and assist global brands and retailers by 2020 to achieve the complete elimination of harmful chemicals in the entire production process.
         In the new standard,OEKO-TEX examines all of perfluorinated compounds in PFCs will be as a kind of material classification are listed separately,and not unified under the "other residual chemicals".For alkyl phenol ethoxylates,APEOs test will be extended to the ethoxylate chain 1-20.The content of nonylphenol,octylphenol requirements of NP OP NPEO,nonylphenol and Octylphenol polyoxyethylene ether OPEO in all product level will be more strictly:nonylphenol and Octylphenol NP OP a total of less than 10 mg/kg 2013 edition limited value of 50 mg/kg nonylphenol;nonylphenol polyoxyethylene ether NP,NPEO1-20,OP and Octylphenol polyoxyethylene octyl phenol ether OPEO1-20 amounted to less than 250 mg/kg 2013 edition limited value of 500 mg/kg.
