BASF increased the price of pigment and dye products in September 1

BASF announcedthat they will raise the price of a variety of pigment and dye products in theworld, the highest price increase of 15%. The new prices takes effect fromSeptember 1, 2014. Affected products include azo pigments, high performanceyellow and red pigments, effect pigments, phthalocyanine pigments and dyes.BASF said the price adjustment is after considering the current marketsituation, in response to a substantial rise in raw material costs, theenvironment, health, safety, and maintenance costs continue to increase thenecessary measures taken. Downstream of thecoatings, plastics, printing ink andother industries affected by this price increase, the cost will be higher.
