THE SALE VOLUME OF BASF INCREASED 12% IN 2017,REACH 64.5 BILLION EURO

BASF said on Feb. 27th. That, Because of the huge demand, The sale amount from all sale department increased, as well as bringing the obvious increasing on profit.  The increased profit also due to the price increasing, especially in the field of chemical industry.  In a word, the sale volume of BASF rised 12% in 2017, reaches 64.5 billion EURO.  The purchasing of chemetall in end of 2016 also make contribution to the growth of sale amount.

BASF indicate that because of the increasing on profit and sale amount, the earning for Asia market reaches 2.2 billion euros, making it become one of the most profitable region. In Europe, economic growth is strong, the before-tax profit increased 31%, reaches 4.7 billion euros,. This is mainly due to higher returns from chemicals and oil and gas business.  Although BASF 's business growth in the us was subdued in early 2017, it gradually improved over the following one year. In North American , BASF's earnings before interest and tax increased from 1.1 billion euros to 1.2 billion euros. In South America, Africa and the Middle East, BASF's earnings before interest and tax decreased from 432 million euros to 335 million euros.

BASF's earnings growth was even more obvious in 2017, increasing around one-third .Benefiting from the outstanding contribution of the chemicals business, the earnings before interest and tax were 8.3 billion euros. without special projects. The decrease in profits of some BASF special products have been offset by the profit and sales growth of basic chemicals and intermediates business  .Contain chemicals, features products, functional materials and solutions to the three business field , including chemicals business earnings significantly increase in the last year, and the before interest and tax revenue rose 26%, to 7.3 billion euros. without special items.

BASF expect that the growth of global economic and chemical production in 2018 will be roughly same as that in 2017, All region are expected to reach further increasing, and the economy of brazil and Russia which already recorded will still keep improving. However, besides all these basic situation, the market fluctuation will be intensify, the exchange rate from US dollar will cause the negative effects on the sale amount and interests.

The executive chairman Bocks from BASF European company said that, “Under nowadays situation, we hope we could realize the increasing on both amount and profit continuously in 2018, The sales and profits of no special items which before the interest and tax from BASF can obtain a small boost."
