It was found that a protein complex could promote cancer cell proliferation in Japan
2012.09.19 11:14Japan Yamaguchi University researchers reported, they found that the combination of two proteins that becomes related with the formation and proliferation of cancer cell,if finding out the material to cut off their combination, then it's hopeful to develop new drugs to treat cancer.
It’s the Yamaguchi University research team led by Akira Nakai that have found the protein complex related with cancer cell proliferation. According to the researchers,a protein called "heat shock transcription factor 1" that can maintain protein quantity and quality to a certain level, and it's especially significant in cancer cells.
Nakai found in this researcher with other people that it can play a role only when "heat shock transcription factor 1" combine with another kind of protein "copy protein A1".Through the genetic operation, cultivating a human cancer cells in which these two proteins can’t combined together.and then transplant to some laboratory mice, found that cancer cell proliferation in the curb, can't form tumors.
Nakai pointed out:"if you can find the material that can hinder the two proteins combined,it's hopeful to develop the new landmark drug that almost has no influence to normal cells, and only curb cancer cell proliferation.
