India plans to develop new markets for textile exports
2011.05.20 10:17According to Indian reports, textile department secretary RitaMenon said India will devote oneself to develop eastern Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, Australia, New Zealand and Japan and other textiles exports new markets.
According to the Indian trade ministry preliminary statistics, the 2010 fiscal year - 11 textile export growth of 15%, achieved 210.2 billion dollars. In 2013-14 commerce plan to grow to the fiscal year 420 billion dollars for textile export.
In cotton textile export issue, the secretary of the board RitaMenon once again stressed the government should maintain 2010 ~ 2011 cotton season in 5.5 million package of export quotas to ensure its domestic industry changeless, the raw material safety.
