China has good perspective of exporting medicine to Bulgaria

In 2012,the pharmaceutical trade between China and Bulgaria has reached 74.5114 million US dollars,increased by 28.58% from a year earlier.And export is 69.8986 million dollars,increased by 26.14% from a year earlier;import is 4.6129 million dollars,increased by81.64% from a year earlier.China imports pharmaceutical products from Bulgaria is rare,mainly is Anti-infective class west medicine,the amount is 2.5849 million dollars,accounting for 56.04%.

High acceptance of traditional Chinese medicine

Most of Bulgarians are intrested in Chinese midicine,they are willing to accept the treatment of Chinese medicine and acupuncture and moxibustion.In 1991, Sophia established "China Chinese medicine treatment center",which was cofounded by Tianjin institute of traditional Chinese medicine and Bulgaria Balkan forklift co., LTD. Bulgaria's drug store,grocery store and cosmetics store sold China's Chinese patent drug and health care products,such as diet tea/cream,bee milk,pearl cream, hair tonic and Ginseng and astragalus products sell very well.In 2012,China exports Chinese medicine to Bulgaria reached 7.8158 dollars,increasing by 45.25%,accounting for 11.18%.

API accounts for nearly sixty percent

In 2012,China exports western medicine to Bulgaria reached 41.2463 dollars, increasing by 33.48%,most of them are western medicine material,mainly are tetracycline,anti-infection,antipyretic analgesic category.The export of generic medicines are 906,200 dollars,mainly are anti-inffection.

Bulgaria's western medicine raw material production enterprises are rare,the API for manufacturing mainly depending on importing.Bulgaria has a certain stength in manufacturing western medicine,especially has unique technic in veterinary drug. The country's major enterprise is Actavis AD,now is subsidiary of Irand's Actavis Group,with 50 years of experience in pharmaceutical,and more than 250 kinds of products,including veterinary drug.Another major enterprise is SOPHARMA PLC, which was founded in 1942,privatisation in 2000.The company manufactures more than 110 ranges of drugs,main treatment for gastrointestinal,heart disease,tablets and antifebrile,start,stop smoking,etc,annual production capacity of 250000 pieces.
