1.dispersion

he effect of aluminium powder pigment coating should achieve excellent gloss,shine,bright brightness,covering capacity,tinting strength,with the Angle different color effect,bright mirror,float,etc,must pass a good dispersion performance,but should pay attention to the following tips and suggestions.

Suggestion:suggest pre-dispersion:first select the appropriate solvent or mixture of several kinds of solvent.In aluminum slurry and solvent ratio 1:1 or the proportion of 1:2,will join the rest of the aluminum slurry solvent,slow stirring until smooth (about 10~20 min),wetting agent and dispersant in the system.

2.resin system

Many common coating binders such as oily varnish makings,acrylic,alkyd, epoxy,polyurethane and water based makings,can be used float type and the floating type aluminum silver paste pigment.Any coating binders or solvents,in general,as long as the solvents miscibility and aluminum silver paste,and aluminum silver paste will not cause chemical damage are appropriate.Note:aluminum is amphoteric metal, paint the acid value should be controlled below 7.

Solvent Choice

Selection of solvent is mainly determined by the formula of the paint.The floating type aluminum silver paste can be widely used in solvent polarity,such as aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon,ester (e.g., butyl acetate),ketones (such as methyl ethyl ketone,methyl isobutyl ketone),alcohols (e.g., ethanol).And float type aluminum silver paste can only use nonpolar solvent,and it is best to high surface tension of aliphatic or aromatic solvent,especially oil,solvent oil,two benzene,toluene and high flash point of naphtha,because they can promote the excellent floatability. Moisture can cause up to aluminum reaction to generate hydrogen effect,so should strictly control the moisture in the coating under 0.15%.Aqueous solvent should not be used for any aluminum silver paste pigment.
