It Is the Appropriate Time for Chinese Enterprise to Develop African Medical Market

In recent years,Chinese and African medicine trade develop rapidly.Imports and exports have grown 184 million US dollars from 2001 to 2.085 million US dollars in 2012.Africa has become the most development potential emerging markets of Chinese medicine trade.

Africa has abundant resouces,adequate work force,broad market.African market is which Chinese pharmaceutical enterprises focus on and make efforts to develop.Especially with the more and more stringent regulation from European and American markets and shrinking markets.China-Africa bilateral exchanges deepening increasingly in medical field.January to April in 2013,China and Africa medicine trade is 712 US dollars,increasing by 15.55% comparing to the same period,and comparing with China's medicine import and export as a whole grow by 3%.China and Africa medicine trade has gradually enter the track of repid development.

2012,China's pharmaceutical exports to Africa is 2032 million US dollars, increasing 13.11% from a year earlier,comparing to 2001,increasing by 11 times.In the first 4 months from this year,the medicine merchandise of China exporting to Africa reaching 689 million US dollars,increasing 13.5% from a year earlier.Africa has become China's second largest regional market of medicine commodity growth. Among them,South Africa,Nigeria,Angola,Egypt,Ghana and Kenya are the first six largest medicine export markets of China,accounting for 63% of the total China's pharmaceutical exports.And the first 4 months of this year achieved a significant growth.Besides,from January to April of this year,China exports to Sudan,Togo, Guinea,Cameroon,Ethiopia and Libya's markets increasing rapidly,the growth is over 34%.The main export commodities are artemisinin drugs,antibiotics drugs and syringes and other disposable consumables.What is worth mentioning that Africa has become the largest export market of preparations of pharmaceutical enterprises in our country,exporting preparation to African market accounting for 13.92% of all preparation in China's exports. Among them,Nigeria and the democratic republic of the Congo are the major exporting countries.In addition,as the syringes,gauze, bandages,and some hospital diagnostic equipment increase exporting and aid, medical apparatus and instruments has become one of important exporting products to Africa,accounting for China's medicine exporting to Africa 45% of total exports.
