Thinking about how Chinese chemical enterprise development smoothly from the PX event

PX, which is the short form of p-xylene (para-xylene), benzene derivatives,it is  an important chemical raw materials. PX is mainly used for manufacturing terephthalic acid, can be used for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. PX belongs to the low toxicity of chemicals, on the human eye and upper respiratory tract have a stimulating effect, high concentration PX will cause the central nervous system in anesthetized rats. Although PX itself is not high toxic, but its production process will produce many byproducts, such as benzene, acetic acid, ethyl acetate and other organic matter, hydrogen sulfide and sulfur impurities in oil produced by chemical changes, the toxicity of these substances are great.

In fact, the PX project is just one of many chemical projects, the chemical raw materials are our basic necessities of life, we can’t stop producing all of them in order to solve the problem of pollution. How to achieve the maximum benefit with minimum damage, it is most important to balance the relationship between the environment and the economy.

The Ministry of environmental protection recently proposed, in the implementation of air pollution control focus in particular emission limits.
