The Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Trade Volume Between China and ASEAN Rose Nearly Fifty Percent In The First Half of The Year

With the officially implementing China-ASEAN free trade area agreement in January,the health care category tariff greatly reduced between China and ASEAN countries,customs clearance was more convenient.The regional Chinese medicine trade between China and the countries of asean has already been $338 million in 2010.

In the first half of this year,traditional Chinese medicine trade volume between China and ASEAN is $267 million,increasing 48.57% from a year earlier.Among them,the traditional Chinese medicine to ASEAN region in our country exports was $211 million,increasing 41.46% from a year earlier,imports from the ASEAN traditional Chinese medicine in China is $56.1296 million,increasing 83.24% from a year earlier.Thus,China-asean Chinese medicine trade is took to the track of rapid development.

Although the China-ASEAN free trade area trade overall has sound development momentum,but if really get into the market at present,China's traditional Chinese medicine enterprises are still exist some problems.Such as ASEAN countries have set up a access standards for drugs,not form a unified mechanism of mutual recognition,part of the ASEAN countries are with political instability,lack of protection of intellectual property rights system and inadequate government supervision.Some enterprises have limited understanding of the ASEAN market,policy on free trade area utilization rate is not high.Scale enterprises to exploit the ASEAN market investment is small,developing way is single;Pharmaceutical products in China is still difficult to get into the local government procurement,the public hospitals in major channels,etc.

According to the above problem,traditional Chinese medicine industry of foreign trade of our country should strengthen the study of the international market,enhancing enterprise research and development ability,looking for differential operation,strengthening the communication with the government department in charge of consultation and coordination and communication and so on effectively development,expanding space for development.

In fact,with the improvement of level of economic development,land,labor,rising raw material costs,China gradually exceeded the ASEAN countries.Enterprises can take full advantage of rich resources of ASEAN countries to solve the difficulties in the development of the domestic economy.With the implementation of the china-asean free trade area,there will be more enterprises to enjoy the preferential,develop ASEAN market will be the right choice of our country's enterprises.
