President Yuan Junjie joins CDIA President Shi Xianping on a fact-finding visit to Gansu
On July 30, 2021, Yuan Junjie, president of the Ningbo Chemical Industry Trade Promotion Association and chairman and general manager of Ningbo Hongda Import & Export Co., Ltd., accompanied Shi Xianping, president of the China Dyestuff Industry Association, on a visit to Gansu Province to study the development of its dyestuff industry and its pollution control efforts. The delegation was warmly received by Gansu Tianchen Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd. and other organizations.

At the briefing, Yao Xiaoli, chairwoman of Gansu Tianchen Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd., gave a detailed account of the infrastructure and industrial development of the province's main chemical parks, and set out, from an environmental standpoint, both the advantages and the constraints of developing a chemical industry in Gansu.
During the visit, President Shi Xianping offered specific guidance. As the dyestuff market matures, national industrial policy provides direction and environmental rules tighten, he said, green, environmentally sound and differentiated dyestuff products serving mid- and high-end demand will be the direction of future development. Gansu has the basic conditions to develop a dyestuff industry, but healthy growth there will require stricter, deeper and more detailed work on environmental protection and remediation, guided throughout by the principle that clear waters and green mountains are themselves invaluable assets.
President Yuan Junjie used the trip to lead a busy schedule of visits to 12 companies, including Inner Mongolia Guocheng Resources Comprehensive Utilization Co., Ltd., Inner Mongolia Huaao Chemical Co., Ltd. and Wuwei Hecai Chemical Co., Ltd. He also called on government officials in Urad Rear Banner and other locations to learn first-hand about company operations and about local industrial planning and investment promotion policies, with the aim of providing member companies of the Ningbo Chemical Industry Trade Promotion Association with useful information for expanding their business.

The delegation was warmly received everywhere it went. The vast grasslands, the modern chemical plants with their towering columns, the warmth and openness of the local people and the rapid pace of development in western China all left a lasting impression.
