You want a supplier that still answers in ten years. Hongda has made pigments, dyes and specialty chemicals in Ningbo since 1992 and sells them through partners who distribute in their own countries. Some of those partners have been with us for 28 years.
What a partnership looks like here
In 1995, one man flew to Brazil with a suitcase of samples.
Yuan Junjie was in his twenties and did not know the market. He met a young pigment company called Transcor, and both sides bet on each other.
Hongda brought the chemistry and the factory; Transcor brought the country, the language and the customers. Twenty-eight years later Transcor is one of the three biggest pigment suppliers in Brazil. That is the whole model: one serious partner per country, growing together for decades.
The same handshake repeats in Pakistan, Mexico, Egypt, Vietnam and a dozen other markets.

1995
First trip to Latin America
Yuan Junjie lands in Brazil and meets Transcor. The partnership that still defines how Hongda works begins here.

Export team formed
Domestic sales are stable enough to fund a foreign trade desk. The first containers leave Ningbo.
2004
Growth years
Domestic and export run side by side. The catalogue grows into pigments, dyes, auxiliaries and intermediates.
2010
Group structure and a national benchmark
Governance, departments and management systems are built. The MIIT names Hongda a benchmark SME under its 2010 Yulin Program.

The Ningbo financial committee of experts rates the company A. That November, Hongda hosts its partners at China Coating Show 2011.

Own plant site
Hongda buys the former Ningbo Rubber Co. site: 2.2 hectares in the Petrochemical Development Zone, for R&D and testing.

Industry leadership
The chairman is elected head of the Ningbo CCPIT Chemical Industry Chamber. In Lahore, the Speaker of Pakistan's National Assembly receives him.

Dear friends,
Ningbo Hongda has more than thirty years of history. For over three decades we have held to one idea, pragmatic focus and constant improvement, and we have not relaxed for a moment in the pursuit of product quality and service quality. We can do this because we carry a dream: to build Hongda into an enterprise of quality, of value, and of lasting influence. I know that this goal is not the work of a day. It takes learning that does not pause, and effort that comes from the heart. Only that way can we keep pace with the industry, and only that way can we win more customers through fresh thinking and high-end service.
What reassures me is that we have a young and energetic team. Like me, they have ideals, enthusiasm and solid professional skills. Most important, they have a deep and personal understanding of four words: creating customer value. There is no doubt they will bring you one surprise after another through sincere, attentive service.
