01What is biocide in paint?
Two different jobs under one word. The in can biocide keeps bacteria, yeast and fungi from spoiling a water based paint while it sits in the drum. The dry film biocide stays in the coating on the wall and stops mold and algae growing on it outdoors.
02What are examples of biocides?

03What is the function of biocide in paint production?
To protect the product where it is vulnerable. Water based systems carry the nutrients bacteria need, so a spoiled batch smells, drops viscosity and loses color. A dosed in can preservative stops that during storage, and the dry film grade protects the coating after it is applied.
04Is biocide toxic to humans?
A biocide is designed to kill microorganisms, so the concentrate is handled with the protection stated on the safety data sheet. In use it is dosed at ppm level inside the formulation, and cosmetic preservatives are used at listed limits. Every active in our range comes with CAS, assay and its documentation.
05Is biocide safe?
Safe means dosed right, registered where you sell and stored as instructed. Ask for the safety data sheet and the regulatory status for your market before the first order. Ningbo Reayoung runs the Vicente test center for challenge tests, colony counts and preservative residue, so the dosage comes from data.
