Privacy notice

This notice explains what hongda-chem.com collects about you, why, who else handles it and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers this website only, not the commercial relationship that may follow.

What we collect

Two different things: what you type and send us on purpose, and what your browser reports on its own just by loading a page. The second kind is personal data too, even though nobody typed it, so it is listed here as well.

What you send us

This site has two forms. The partner form asks for your name, company, email, country and message. The careers form asks for your name, email, a phone number or WeChat id, the area you are applying for, a message and, if you attach one, your CV as a PDF file.

When you send the careers form, it reaches Hongda's human resources team by email. The message travels through the portal of Artisma, the agency that maintains this site, and is delivered by Resend, the email service Artisma uses. If you attach a CV, it passes through Artisma's cloud storage only for the moment it takes to attach it to the email, and is deleted right after sending. When you send the partner form, it reaches Hongda's partner team by email, through the same route and with no attachments.

What is collected on its own

• The pages you open, how long you stay and the site or search that brought you here.
• Your device, browser, operating system and screen size.
• The country, region and city your connection reports.
• Your IP address, which is never stored: it is turned into an irreversible code with a key that changes every day, and used only to stop abuse of the service.

This is measurement in aggregate. It is not used to build a profile of you, and it is not combined with what you send through the forms.

Why we collect it

• To answer what you ask us and to evaluate a possible partnership or job application.
• To understand which pages are useful and which are not, and improve the site accordingly.
• To keep the site available and protect it from abuse.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising. There is no advertising pixel on this site.

Who else handles it

Providers that process the data on our behalf, under our instructions, without using it for their own purposes:

• Vercel Inc. hosting of this website. Its servers are outside China and may be located in the United States or in the European Union.
• Artisma the agency that develops and maintains this site, operator of Artisma Analytica, the measurement tool described in the cookie policy, and the portal through which the forms travel.
• Resend, Inc. delivery of the emails the forms generate. Servers in the United States.
• Supabase, Inc. cloud storage where an attached CV waits for the seconds it takes to attach it; it is deleted right after sending.

Beyond that, we disclose data only when the law or a competent authority requires it.

Data leaving your country

Hongda Group is based in China and the providers listed above operate servers in other countries, so data collected through this site is transferred internationally. Where that transfer requires a legal basis, it rests on your consent and on the contracts we hold with each provider.

How long we keep it

Measurement data is kept for 14 months in aggregate form. Messages sent through the forms are kept as long as the commercial or recruitment conversation stays open, and afterwards only if a law requires it. Your cookie decision stays in your browser until you clear it.

Your choices

• Switch measurement off at any time from the cookie preferences window, linked at the bottom of every page. It takes effect immediately.
• Ask us what data we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it or to delete it.
• Withdraw a consent you gave, without that affecting what was done before you withdrew it.

Write to pigment@hongda-chem.com to exercise any of these. We answer to the address you write from, and we may ask you for something that confirms the request is yours.

If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or Switzerland

Nothing is measured on your visit until you allow it: the preferences window opens with everything off and stays that way until you save. Beyond the choices above, you may object to a processing, ask us to restrict it, ask for your data in a portable format, and lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

Changes

If what we collect or who handles it changes, this notice changes first, and the date at the top tells you when the last revision happened.
