Chemtech (科美特) is the coating additive brand of Hongda Group and Shaoxing Haicheng Chemical. Every grade lists appearance, active or solids content, solvent, chemistry, the systems it fits (waterborne, solvent, UV) and the equivalent BYK code where one exists.

Polyamide, polyurea and wax dispersions with anti-settling and anti-sagging dosages, wetting agents down to 21.5 mN/m, plus sulfonic acid and amine driers, a conductive agent and a reactive silicone for PU and amino systems.
Where it goes
The small percentage of a formulation that decides how the paint behaves. Pigment stays dispersed, the film levels out, foam breaks, the coating does not sag on a vertical wall. Dosage is usually under 2%, and the difference between a good and a bad batch often sits there.

They keep pigment particles apart after the mill. The molecule anchors on the pigment surface and the rest of the chain holds the particles from flocculating, so you get color strength, gloss and stability in the can instead of settling and float.
The wetting agent lowers surface tension so the liquid reaches the pigment surface and displaces air. The dispersant keeps the particles apart once they are wet. Many grades do both, and our card names which side each one leans to, with the static surface tension figure down to 21.5 mN/m.
They do the job they are dosed for, and nothing else. A defoamer will not fix a bad resin choice and a leveling agent will not save a wrong solvent balance. Send your system, your problem and the grade you use today, and the additives team names the equivalent and the dosage to trial.
