Dragonperse (龙牌) is the Hongda disperse dye brand, made with Japanese production technology. The brochure lists each shade with dyeing depth in %, dyestuff type (E, SE, S), suitability for HT dyeing, thermosol, carrier and printing, pH stability, staining on cotton and wool, and fastness to light, sublimation, washing and rubbing.

01What is color fastness to wash?
It is how much color the fabric loses, and how much it stains the fabric next to it, after a laundering cycle. Graded 1 to 5 on a grey scale, where 5 means no visible change. Most Dragonperse HF and CXF shades come back at 5 after washing at 60°C.
02What is the ISO 105 C06 test method for colorfastness to washing?
ISO 105-C06 is the domestic and commercial laundering test. The lab picks a condition, such as A1S at 40°C or C2S at 60°C, runs the specimen with a multifibre strip and steel balls, then grades change of shade and staining. Our brochure reports washing by AATCC IIA at 60°C, and the mill lab can repeat it under C06.
03How to improve colorfastness?
Three levers, in order of impact. Choose a dye built for it: HF and CXF hold washing 5 at 60°C, and CXF resists thermomigration in finishing. Clear the surface dye properly after dyeing. Keep the finishing recipe honest, since softeners and heat setting move loose dye to the surface.
04What temperature to dye polyester?
Around 130°C in a jet under pressure is the standard route. Near the boil with a carrier works when the machine has no pressure, and continuous thermosol runs hotter and faster. The series pages give the pH window and the dyestuff type, E, SE or S, for each shade.
05How can you tell if fabric is colorfast?
Ask for the test report, not the promise. It should name the method, the temperature and the grade for change of shade and for staining on cotton and wool. Every shade in this range carries light, sublimation, washing and rubbing figures in the brochure.
