CDIA Holds Congress: Hongda Elected New Council Member

The 9th Member Congress of the China Dyestuff Industry Association convened on October 29, 2021, in Qufu, Shandong Province, bringing together General Manager Yuan Junjie and representatives from more than 150 member enterprises from across the country.

Vice President Li Bin of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation addressed the congress, affirming the association's achievements in serving member enterprises and in guiding the healthy development of China's dyestuff industry. President Shi Xianping presented a work report on behalf of the 8th Council, reviewing five years of progress and proposing a path forward for the new one.

The congress elected the members of the 9th Council and Supervisory Board by secret ballot, and at the following meeting elected new association leaders. President Shi Xianping was re-elected, and the new Council, seventy members in all, held a brief plaque-awarding ceremony. Among those honored: Chairman and General Manager Yuan Junjie of HONGDA, elected a Council Member.

The meeting also turned to the industry's high-end development and to shared concerns of environmental protection, ecology and technological innovation, with scholars and experts contributing keynote speeches that enriched the discussion. For HONGDA, the seat on the Council was recognition of decades spent building the Chinese dyestuff industry's standing at home and abroad.
