Consult, Build, Share: Global Coatings Summit in Shanghai

On the evening of November 16, 2023, the Global Coatings Industry Chain High-Level Exchange Meeting opened at the Himalayas Hotel in Shanghai, co-hosted by twelve renowned coatings enterprises and organized by the CCPIT Ningbo Chemical Industry Council.

"Consult, Build, Share" stood out on the screen inside the venue, a theme echoing the Belt and Road Initiative's core principle: that all countries are equal participants, contributors and beneficiaries. Against a sluggish global economy, this face-to-face exchange, built through the spontaneous effort of enterprises, was a vivid embodiment of that idea.

Yuan Junjie, President of the CCPIT Ningbo Chemical Industry Council and Chairman of HONGDA, opened the event, summing up its purpose in two words: "going global." Drawing on more than two decades of experience abroad, he shared what that takes: enterprises cannot go global alone, they must unite for mutual support, and they cannot chase one-off deals, but must earn trust through sincerity, turning customers into friends and friends into partners.

Representatives of the co-organizers and international guests, including leaders from the Brazil-China Chemical Friendship Association, the Mexican Plastics Industry Association, the Venezuelan Industrial Association and the Pakistan Chemical and Dyestuff Manufacturers Association, took the stage to share insights on the industry's outlook and new models for supply chain connectivity. The evening moved between guest speeches, free exchange and lucky draws, a chorus of many voices rather than a solo performance, itself a concrete practice of "Consult, Build, Share."
