São Paulo: The Bridge Continues

From October 1 to 3, 2019, the Brazil Coatings Show, Abrafati, opened its doors at the São Paulo Expo.

Abrafati is the largest professional coatings exhibition in Latin America, drawing manufacturers, suppliers and industry professionals from across the globe. Chairman Yuan Junjie led the HONGDA team to São Paulo, continuing a journey that had begun nearly two decades earlier: since our first Brazilian partnership in 2001, and the deepening visits of 2017 and 2018, we had built our presence patiently, year by year. By 2019, our channels in the region were flourishing.

At Abrafati 2019, HONGDA joined premium Chinese manufacturers to unveil a series of innovative products, among them Digicolor, a line of precision testing instruments for coatings, alongside new-generation coating products designed for the evolving market. Attendees showed intense interest, samples were examined, questions were asked, and partnerships began to take shape.

For HONGDA, these new products carried the potential to become a new growth engine in Latin America, expanding beyond raw materials into precision instruments and advanced coatings solutions. It was HONGDA's global strategy in action: using one market to build momentum for another, connecting East and West, and turning relationships into opportunities. For Chairman Yuan and the team, Abrafati 2019 was something of a homecoming, a return to a market we had helped build and to partners who had become friends.
