Setting a New Standard: China's Best TiO2 Goes Global
In 2011, the world gave its answer to NTR-606. And the answer was a resounding yes.

But the story of NTR-606 is not just a story of export volumes. It is a story of discovery: the discovery that China could produce TiO2 that was truly world-class.
For years, the global market assumed that high-performance TiO2 could only come from a handful of Western giants. The sulfate process, which Chinese manufacturers used, was considered inferior, suitable for low-end applications, but not for the demanding world of premium paints and inks.
HONGDA and Xinfu proved them wrong.
Together, we discovered that China had the capability to produce TiO2 of the highest quality, and we set out to create something more than a product. We set out to create a new standard for the Chinese sulfate process.
NTR-606 became that standard. It wasn't just a TiO2 that could compete with DuPont 902 and 706. It was a TiO2 that redefined what Made in China could mean in the titanium dioxide industry. It proved that the sulfate process, when executed with precision, discipline, and innovation, could deliver performance that matched the best in the world.
We exported 30,000 metric tons of NTR-606 to markets around the globe. We became the leading supplier in several key markets. Brazil, one of the world's largest markets for paints and coatings. Bangladesh, a rapidly growing hub for textiles and industrial coatings. Central Asia, emerging markets hungry for quality and reliability.
But the most meaningful validation came from the multinational corporations who accepted our product. Companies like PPG and Akzo Nobel, global leaders in paints and coatings, tested NTR-606 and approved it for their formulations.
Think about what that means. These are companies with the highest quality standards on earth. Their reputations depend on the performance of every raw material they use. For them to accept HONGDA's TiO2 was not just a commercial win. It was a statement of trust.
We had entered a market dominated by giants, and we had earned our place among them. More than that, we had raised the standard for an entire industry, proving that China could not only compete, but lead.
