Spinel blues, greens, browns and blacks
Cobalt blue BL-84 to BL-51 and cobalt green G-4G to G-6G resist warpage in polyolefins; iron chromite brown BR-854 and BR-859; two black chemistries, one IR-reflective to cut heat build-up, one IR-absorbing.

Buying it right
Why a green concrete pigment is harder to source.
Iron oxides cover red, yellow, black and brown in concrete, but not green. A green concrete pigment has to survive the alkaline cement and years of sun, so the shade family matters as much as the price.
TRANSDUR cobalt green is a mixed metal oxide calcined above 800°C, with acid and alkali resistance listed in the brochure. The range is listed for building materials processed above 800°C, so trial it in your concrete before volume.
Test it on a cured sample with your own cement before you commit to volume. The pigment team sends a sample and the data sheet for the trial.

01Can iron oxide make green concrete?
No. Iron oxides give red, yellow, black and brown. Green needs another pigment family; chromium oxide green is the usual choice, and TRANSDUR cobalt green is the option Hongda offers for trials.
02Is cobalt green stable in cement?
The brochure lists acid and alkali resistance for each TRANSDUR grade. Confirm on a cured sample with your own cement.
03How should I judge the shade of green concrete?
On a cured sample. Wet mix and the cement's own color change the reading.
04Is green concrete pigment toxic?
TRANSDUR grades test under 2ppm solubility in stomach acid, because the metal is locked in the crystal lattice.
