Paint grades
Blue 15:3 HD-810, green shade, high strength and gloss, good flow. Blue 15:4 RC-7101F, non-crystallising, non-flocculating, heat resistant. Green 7 HD-G, general purpose. Green 36 for powder coating.

Plastic grades
Alpha blue 15:0 HD-6850P for EVA, rubber, PBT, PA, PS and PC at 220°C. Blue 15:1 RC-2721 at 280°C. Blue 15:3 RC-7090 for PP, PE, ABS masterbatch at 250°C. Green 7 HD-8730K at 280°C, green 36 at 350°C.
Buying it right
Picking a green pigment by system and heat.
Green pigment covers very different chemistry. Phthalo green gives a strong, clean shade for ink and paint. Cobalt green is a mixed metal oxide that stays put in hot plastic and outdoor exposure.
Hongda carries both. Phthalo green 7 for inks, paints and plastics at 280°C, green 36 for powder coating and plastics at 350°C, and cobalt green G-4G to G-6G that resists warpage in polyolefins.

01What is the difference between green 7 and green 36?
Pigment Green 7 is the bluer phthalo green. Pigment Green 36 is the yellower one, and in this range it is the grade rated to 350°C for plastics.
02Which green pigment is best for polyolefin parts?
Cobalt green from TRANSDUR. It barely nucleates the polymer, so molded polyolefin parts warp less than with many organic greens.
03Is there a green pigment for powder coating?
Yes. Phthalo green 36 is listed for powder coating.
04Who makes the phthalo green Hongda sells?
