Weak acid range
A parallel yellow-to-black card, from Yellow TB to Black NB-G, dyed closer to neutral pH. Trades some levelling power for steadier wet fastness, most washing figures 4 to 5.

A silk acid dye has to give bright, even color on a fiber that marks easily, and the shade has to survive pressing and perspiration once the garment is worn.
