2022-2023 International Forum on the Green Development of China's Organic Pigments Opens
The International Forum on the Green Development of China's Organic Pigments, organized by the China Dyestuff Industry Association and co-hosted by the Ningbo Chemical CCPIT and the Ningbo Jiangxia Think Tank, opened on the morning of April 12 at the Radisson Plaza Hotel Ningbo. More than 200 participants attended, including government officials, industry leaders, Chinese and international experts and academics, leading companies in the sector, listed companies and Fortune 500 companies.
The forum ran for two days. The April 12 session was chaired by Chen Lirong, Chairman of Lily Group.
Opening remarks were given by Li Bin, Vice President of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, Sun Dahai, Deputy Director of the Ningbo Petrochemical Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee, and Ye Huayu, Vice President of the Ningbo CCPIT, among other officials.
The keynote sessions followed. Speakers from government bodies, research institutions and industry addressed the green development of organic pigments from a range of angles, including intellectual property protection, macroeconomic analysis, the role of new materials in shaping the future of pigments, and an interpretation of Fine Chemicals 2.0. They included Li Bin, Vice President of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation; Zhang Zhao'an, former Vice President of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, National People's Congress deputy and lead expert of the national think tank team on China's macroeconomic performance; Chen Daixiong, doctor of engineering, doctoral supervisor, professor-level senior engineer and Chief Engineer of the Hunan Research Institute of Non-ferrous Metals; and Academician Peng Xiaojun of the Dalian University of Technology.
Abdullah Rasheed Chughtai, President of the Punjab Dyes Association of Pakistan and General Manager of Rainbow Dyes and Chemicals (Pakistan), was invited to attend and gave an overview of the development of Pakistan's pigment industry.
The presentations were fresh in their choice of topics, rich in content and sharp in analysis, and drew close attention from the audience.
Over the remainder of the forum, more than ten additional experts and academics from different fields and leading companies will share their perspectives with participants, offering new thinking and practical proposals for the green development of organic pigments.
