28th China Coating Show Closes With Strong Results for Hongda
The 28th China Coating Show closed on November 17, 2023 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, after running from November 15 and returning for the first time in four years. As an international platform where coatings professionals from China and abroad share information, discuss industry trends and find partners, and as the first major in-person event after the pandemic, the show drew heavy traffic and more than 1,340 exhibitors from 33 countries and regions. Parallel technical exchange sessions were held both on site and online, and were well received by industry professionals.

Ningbo Hongda has invested for years in building a distinctive booth and refreshing its approach each edition. For this show, the company joined forces with well-known industry players including Dalian Baiao and Sanbo Biotech to plan and prepare the stand together, with excellent results. The bold booth design, the professional and welcoming commercial team and the open, international meeting format made the stand one of the highlights of the show and gave visitors a different kind of business experience. Traffic was continuous over the three days, resulting in a number of concrete agreements, new customer relationships and up-to-date industry and market intelligence.

During the show, Hongda also co-hosted a major industry event, the 2023 Global Coatings Industry Chain Summit, together with 11 well-known companies from the coatings sector: Lily Group, Baiao Chemical, Kedi New Materials, Shuangle Pigment, Shenlanhua Colorants, Nami New Materials, Beiteer New Materials, Tianshili Qingting Supply Chain, Longxin Machinery, Xihua Machinery and Ruicai Technology. Organized by the Ningbo Chemical CCPIT, the event opened on the evening of November 16 at the Himalayas Hotel opposite the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, with more than 300 participants from around the world and from across the Chinese coatings industry.
Shi Xianping, President of the China Dyestuff Industry Association, Xu Haifeng, Vice President of the Ningbo CCPIT, and Dong Yiping, Secretary General of the Shanghai Coatings and Dyestuffs Association, were among the leaders and guests who attended and spoke. Yuan Junjie, President of the Ningbo Chemical CCPIT and Chairman of Hongda Group, gave the welcome address. He noted that this international, professional and energetic network, created jointly by the organizers and participants, will generate new ideas and results, attract more industry peers, and continue to grow in value and influence.
Joint planning, joint development, shared benefit
Participants held face-to-face discussions on the state of the coatings industry, its outlook, and cooperation in investment, technology and trade. Representatives of the organizing companies and heads of industry associations from Brazil, Mexico, Pakistan, Venezuela and other countries took the floor to share their own situations and development perspectives. The atmosphere throughout was open, engaged and practical.
The event closed with a group photo on stage, capturing this international network at its best and bringing a well-received, high-level industry exchange to a successful conclusion.
