Building on the Past to Chart a New Chapter: Gathering Strength to Set Off Again
On April 28, 2026, the CCPIT Ningbo Chemical Industry Sub-council held its re-election congress at the Nanyuan Global Hotel in Ningbo's High-tech Zone. The congress completed several important items on its agenda: new council elections, the renaming of the association, a revised charter and the launch of a new logo, marking the start of a new stage for Ningbo's chemical industry.
The congress welcomed 15 new member enterprises, among them Henghe Material Technology, Ningbo Fude Energy, Ningbo Dadi Chemical Environmental Protection and East China Energy and Environmental Protection, further strengthening the association's ranks. Delegates reviewed the work of the Seventh Council and voted to rename the association the Ningbo Chemical Industry Federation, alongside a new logo, a revised charter and new membership fee standards.
Through secret ballot, a new council of 26 member units and a supervisory board of 3 units were elected. At its first meeting, the new council elected Yuan Junjie, Chairman of Ningbo HONGDA Import and Export Co., Ltd., as President, with Wu Baier of Ningbo Siming Chemical elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board, and Cai Meng'er and Zhu Qiaojuan appointed Executive President and Secretary-General.
In his inaugural address, Yuan Junjie pledged to lead the Federation in serving the industry and driving its development. Leaders from the CCPIT Ningbo Sub-council and the Social Work Department of the Ningbo Municipal Party Committee addressed the new leadership on integrity, standardized operation and healthy growth, before plaques were awarded to the new council and its members.
The congress closed with three thematic reports: on the Ningbo petrochemical industry's supply chain, on commercial certification for enterprises expanding abroad, and on exchange rate trends. The Ningbo Chemical Industry Federation will take the re-election as a new starting point, working to unite its member enterprises around the high-quality development of Ningbo's chemical industry and its ambition to build a world-class green petrochemical cluster.
