Chairman Yuan Junjie Attends the 2021 Members' Meeting of the Shanghai Coatings and Dyestuff Industry Association

On April 28, 2021, Yuan Junjie, President of the Ningbo Chemical Industry Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Chairman and General Manager of Ningbo Hongda Import & Export Co., Ltd., joined Ye Huayu, Vice President of the Ningbo Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Vice President of the Ningbo Chamber of Commerce, at the members' meeting of the Shanghai Coatings and Dyestuff Industry Association, held alongside the 10th Green Coatings Development Forum and the Safe and Eco-Friendly Dyes and Pigments Development Forum.

As the birthplace of China's coatings and dyestuff industry and one of the country's most concentrated dye production regions today, Shanghai is widely regarded as a bellwether for the sector. The meeting therefore drew close attention from across the industry, with leading companies such as BASF, Nippon Paint, Yipin and PPG all sending representatives.

Sun Lianying, President of the China National Coatings Industry Association, delivered opening remarks and a presentation analyzing the economic performance and development trends of the coatings sector.

In the forum sessions, experts and researchers from many companies and institutes shared their views on the current state of the coatings and dyestuff industry, where it is headed, and leading-edge technologies and applications. The discussions drew strong interest from participants and were well received.

During the meeting, President Ye and Mr. Yuan also discussed ways to broaden and deepen exchange and cooperation between the chemical sectors of Shanghai and Ningbo, reaching agreement on a number of points.
