Chairman Yuan Junjie's Visit to Brazil Delivers Encouraging Results

In early October, Hongda Chairman Yuan Junjie traveled to Brazil for market research and business discussions. The purpose of the trip was to gain a full picture of current conditions in the Brazilian market, consolidate and expand our channels in South America, and provide a solid basis for the next phase of business planning. Over a few days, Mr. Yuan and his team focused on visits to several long-standing trading partners and related companies, deepening mutual understanding and trust and discussing models and implementation details for closer cooperation.

During the visit to Fortaleza in the state of Ceará, Mr. Yuan also called on Mayor Guaiuba in his capacity as President of the Ningbo Chemical Industry Sub-Council of CCPIT, and received a warm welcome. Mayor Guaiuba gave a detailed account of rapid growth in Fortaleza across a range of industries in recent years, including chemicals, and expressed strong appreciation for Mr. Yuan's long-standing efforts to advance China-Brazil trade cooperation. He voiced his hope for wide-ranging cooperation with Chinese industries, particularly the chemical sector, and for that cooperation to reach ever higher levels. Mr. Yuan thanked the mayor for his hospitality and outlined the work carried out by the Ningbo Chemical Industry Sub-Council under the Belt and Road Initiative, along with the rapid growth of Ningbo's port-related industries, especially its petrochemical sector, expressing hope for stronger bilateral trade cooperation going forward. Mr. Yuan also invited the mayor to visit Ningbo at a convenient time, made arrangements for the Fortaleza business delegation's visit to Ningbo the following month, and wished the delegation every success. The mayor gladly accepted the invitation.

While in Fortaleza, Mr. Yuan also visited several chemical companies accompanied by officials from the local business federation, gaining a comprehensive view of the city's industrial development.
