Coatings and Pigment Industry Delegates from Brazil and Other Belt and Road Countries Visit the Ningbo Petrochemical Economic and Technological Development Zone

On November 16, through introductions arranged by Yuan Junjie, President of the Ningbo Chemical Industry Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Chairman and General Manager of Ningbo Hongda Group, a group of nearly 20 coatings and pigment industry professionals from Brazil, Tanzania, Iran, Dubai and other countries visited the Ningbo Petrochemical Economic and Technological Development Zone. They were warmly received by the zone's administrative committee and by companies including Xinfu Titanium Dioxide, Yongshun Chemical and Detai Chemical.

At the administrative committee, Deputy Director Dai and Director Guo of the Economic Cooperation Bureau gave the visitors a detailed briefing on the zone's history, master plan, current operations and outlook. The guests listened closely and expressed genuine interest in cooperation.

During the visits to Xinfu Titanium Dioxide, Yongshun Chemical and Detai Chemical, the guests engaged enthusiastically with their hosts and reached agreement in principle on future cooperation.

After the tour, President Xu of the Ningbo Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Deputy Director Chen of the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office met with the visitors, joined by Director Guo of the petrochemical zone's Economic Cooperation Bureau and President Yuan Junjie of the Ningbo Chemical Industry Council. On behalf of the Chinese side, President Xu welcomed the trade delegation from Brazil and other Belt and Road countries, introduced Ningbo's economic achievements and distinctive strengths, and recalled with pleasure his own recent visit to Brazil, saying how glad he was to meet the guests again in Ningbo. He expressed the hope that the two sides would find many opportunities to work together, and the guests thanked him and warmly agreed.

During their stay, the visitors also attended the National Titanium Dioxide Annual Conference.

The program was full and well organized, and the results were highly satisfactory.
