Embracing Change, Moving Toward New Opportunity: Our 2019 Annual Meeting
On January 18, Ningbo Hongda Import and Export Co., Ltd. held its 2019 annual meeting at the Radisson Hotel. Rare winter sunshine put everyone in a bright mood. Inside the venue, a large LED screen displayed a bold, striking theme image, with the words "Take Responsibility, Move Forward" prominently featured beneath it, setting an energetic tone for the day.
The meeting opened at around three in the afternoon with a summary report from Yuan Junjie, Chairman and General Manager of Hongda Group. He gave a full review of 2018, with images on the screen behind him documenting a year of hard work and steady progress by the Hongda team. Mr. Yuan recognized the effort everyone had made under complex and shifting external conditions, and expressed genuine satisfaction with the positive changes seen in product portfolio adjustments, management improvements, the development of new staff and team building. He called on all employees to keep their energy up, step outside their comfort zones, meet change head on, and pursue organizational change and business innovation with confidence. By empowering every level of the organization, he said, the company should complete its shift from a locomotive-pulled model to a distributed-power model as quickly as possible, and deliver new results and new breakthroughs in the year ahead.
Mr. Yuan's remarks were grounded, practical and motivating, and resonated with the audience. Senior managers and department heads then took turns sharing their reflections on the past year, expressing their attachment to the Hongda family along with their confidence and hopes for its future. New employees also came on stage as a group to share their gratitude and best wishes, showing the energy of a younger generation and the promise it holds for Hongda.
The meeting also recognized outstanding performers from 2018. Xu Haihong, Yang Xun and Shi Xiaofen came on stage to receive their certificates and bonuses to warm applause.
The evening continued with a New Year dinner, interspersed with games and a prize draw. The atmosphere drew everyone in, and several colleagues took to the stage to perform. Heartfelt singing and graceful dancing earned rounds of applause.
The event was lively and warm from beginning to end, and no one was in a hurry to leave.
