Both sides presented an overview of their cities and their economic and social development, reached agreement on establishing trade and economic cooperation, and signed a strategic cooperation agreement between the Ningbo Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Federation of Industries of the State of Ceará. The signing brought the delegation's three-day business visit to Ningbo to a successful conclusion.

Mr. Yuan Junjie, President of the Ningbo Chemical Industry Sub-Council of CCPIT and Chairman of Hongda, accompanied the delegation throughout the visit. Over three days, the Brazilian guests visited the Administrative Committee of the Ningbo Petrochemical Economic and Technological Development Zone as well as companies including Ningbo Xinfu Titanium Dioxide Co., Ltd. and AkzoNobel Chemicals (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. They were impressed by Ningbo's economic and social achievements and spoke highly of them.
As the only industry-specific sub-council within the Ningbo Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Ningbo Chemical Industry Sub-Council played an important and active role in this international business exchange. President Yuan Junjie said the sub-council will continue to work in line with the overall plans of the municipal council, fulfill its mandate diligently, and draw on the network Hongda has built through years of working with Brazilian trade partners. He added that the sub-council will continue to act as a bridge for China-Brazil friendship and a promoter of the Belt and Road Initiative, contributing to stronger and deeper trade and economic cooperation between Ningbo and Ceará.
