Wax pulps and pastes
Pre-dispersed PE, PE/PTFE and PTFE waxes in xylene, mineral oil or butyl ester, 7 to 98% active. Hand feel, nail resistance and scratch protection for wood, UV and industrial coatings and offset ink.
HD-L series · 17 grades
Wax emulsions and dispersions
Non-ionic PE, PP, paraffin, carnauba and montan dispersions, 25 to 55% solids, down to 100 nm. Scrub resistance, anti-blocking, water repellency and polish for waterborne paint, ink and leather.
Buying it right
Wax additives in the form your line can use.
The same chemistry in wax additives behaves differently as a powder, a pulp or an emulsion. A waterborne paint cannot take a solvent pulp, and a UV coating may need a pre-dispersed grade.
Chemtech offers wax additives in all three forms: HD-F powders, HD-P pulps and HD-L emulsions. Each grade names the counter grade it replaces.
Inks get slip and rub resistance, coil coatings get wear resistance from PTFE, wood coatings get hand feel and matting. The additives team suggests the grade for your system.
