Hongda 2022 Annual Meeting
Hongda 2022 Annual Meeting

On January 13, 2023, Hongda held its annual meeting. Coinciding with the company's 30th anniversary, the event carried particular significance. It was structured around four parts: the year in review, employee awards, the Hongda 30 Years Outstanding Contributors awards, and a prize draw. In the review session, department heads spoke in turn, covering their teams' work over the past year, analyzing results objectively and sharing lessons learned. They also presented their approach, targets, priorities and implementation plans for 2023. Sales teams again used slide presentations, illustrating their points with data and charts to good effect.
After listening to all the presentations, General Manager Yuan Junjie gave the closing address. He began with new year's wishes, noting that after the end of pandemic restrictions everyone can appreciate how valuable the ordinary, peaceful life we once took for granted really is. He then reviewed Hongda's 30 years against the backdrop of China's reform and opening up, drawing several conclusions. First, the fortunes of individuals and companies are tied to those of the country: it is not that we are exceptional, but that we came along at a good time under good policies. Second, everyone, at any age, encounters cycles of opportunity in their own life; those who prepare and make themselves difficult to replace can seize those moments and achieve financial independence or more. Third, reviewing the past is about moving forward: the company must make good use of the resources built up over 30 years while clearing away accumulated problems, and rebuild its structure through generational transition. Only then can Hongda find new energy and become a stronger version of itself.
He emphasized that current difficult conditions will persist for some time and that everyone should be prepared for that. Rather than waiting passively, the company must strengthen its fundamentals through improvements in culture, management and operations and through company-wide training, so it is ready when opportunities arrive. He asked everyone to keep their drive and their awareness of risk in the new year, to keep improving professionally, and to work steadily toward the annual sales targets and their own objectives. His remarks were clear, substantive and widely appreciated, and many said it felt like attending a high-quality training session.

The awards followed. After the announcement was read, company leaders presented trophies, prizes and bonuses to the three outstanding employees of the year, Lin Xiao, Ying Feifei and Yang Neng, to warm applause.
The prize draw came next. The event was engaging throughout, with a lively atmosphere that reached everyone in the room. The "Hongda 30 Years Outstanding Contributors" awards were presented during this section, with recipients who joined the company in different eras coming on stage in groups, visibly proud of the recognition.
As evening fell and the lights came on, the annual Hongda dinner began. Colleagues raised glasses and exchanged greetings, and new year's wishes and music filled the hall. Several guests from Xinjiang joined in dancing to the rhythm, drawing rounds of applause and bringing the celebration to its high point.
