Sounding the call for a second founding
On March 25, 2022, a company-wide meeting was held in the Hongda conference room under the theme "United in purpose, starting from the heart." The newly renovated conference room gave the meeting a fitting sense of renewal.
General Manager Yuan Junjie delivered the keynote address. He began by noting that this year marks Hongda's thirtieth anniversary, an occasion that invites reflection. Over three decades of hard work and setbacks, the company has advanced step by step on the strength of firm conviction, a professional and practical approach, and a commitment to innovation and change. Entering a new stage, the central question before us is how to carry Hongda's DNA forward while keeping pace with the times, maintaining and strengthening our core competitiveness, and building a business that lasts for a century. He set out three requirements. First, keep working with energy and drive. Whatever changes in the external environment, everyone must settle in and do their own job well, with ideas and breakthroughs, and complacency has no place here. Second, build a mindset of innovation, updating thinking, technical knowledge, commercial skills and working methods alike. The company has invested heavily in a complete overhaul of the office environment, the OA platform and the business software, which signals that we will not stop developing and will keep moving toward higher, further and newer ground. Every employee is expected to keep pace with the company, surpass their own limits and set new records. Third, strengthen learning. This means not only updating individual knowledge and deepening professional skills, but also raising the capability of the team as a whole and encouraging colleagues to share and learn from one another. The company will place greater emphasis on training, organizing programs by topic and by level, working to become a learning organization and steadily strengthening its soft power.
Mr. Yuan also outlined his vision for Hongda's future direction. He stressed that the resources accumulated over thirty years and a well-trained professional team are our most valuable assets, and that our core business must never be set aside. At the same time, we need to broaden our view and keep looking for new opportunities and sources of growth, an area in which the company already has a clear plan. He asked all employees to have confidence in the company's future, to work as one and to approach the tasks in front of them with the determination and courage of a second founding, so that together we can steer the Hongda ship toward a promising destination.
